This is the wider range of spanners and wrenches. Some were purpose-made for specific automobiles while others were produced as general purpose tools to be used by professional mechanics (automotive or otherwise) or home handymen.

Quality varied considerably between makers and purpose as did the means of fabrication.

Tools and Trades Day

HTPAA's Tools and Trades Day is on July 7th 2018 9.00 am to 4.30 pm at St Anthony's Parish Hall (Tool Sale location).
The 2018 Day features nine expert speakers who will discuss and demonstrate their tools in the trades of colonial cabinet making, coopering, jewelry making, harness making, the early mechanics tools, pattern making, plumbing and shipwright/sail making.
